A sweet neighbor gifted us this amaryllis for Christmas. It took a couple of weeks to bloom, but now it’s gorgeous. I love having flowers indoors, especially during the winter. I also have a couple of orchids, a Christmas cactus and an African violet. They make the rooms and a dreary winter day more cheery! Do you keep flowering plants in the house? And tips/tricks to share?
Beautiful! I grew an amaryllis one year, they are lovely.
But for the most part I stay away from indoor plants — I tend to kill them. I prefer to look out my picture windows and admire what grows outside.
