After nearly 39 years of marriage, my husband and I no longer have a cat. We had three over the course of those years, and they were all well-loved by us and the kids. We lost the last one last summer. So now we enjoy the antics of our “Grandkitty?” Is that a thing? She’s kind of a hoot and it’s fun to enjoy her without having to clean the hair and litter box! 🙂 Are you attached to any pets?
We were a dog family — my husband’s and kids’ choice, not mine. I prefer cats. I liked our dogs, but it was a relief to become pet-free. I miss the love, but relish the freedom.
Now I have granddogs. And yes, grandpets are a thing.
